Create Your Own Stop Motion and Time Lapse Videos with PicPac

Back in September, we talked about XDA Forum Member genliang.guan‘s application PicPac Camera. PicPac Camera offered a relatively unique take on the traditional camera experience by allowing users to take vertical photo collages. We then saw the app developer release a new application called Visummly, which created somewhat similar collages from the video collections we have on our devices. Now, the developer is back with yet another innovative and interesting photography-related app.

PicPac (not to be confused with the previously covered PicPac Camera) allows users to easily create time lapse and stop motion videos. Inspired by The Lego Movie, PicPac allows individual users to obtain a similar effect by combining various stills into one video. Previously, such a task would require a traditional computer, but thanks to the app, you can now do this from the comfort of your smartphone–without any external processing or uploads.

PicPac is fairly feature filled. For starters, you can import photos from Instagram, take time lapse photos for use in videos, and extract pictures from videos on your device. Once you’re done assembling your stop motion video, you can add your own music or dubbed audio. You can also combine multiple projects, as well as add titles and share your creation with the PicPac community directly through the app.

If you’ve wanted to create interesting time lapse or stop motion videos, head over to the application thread and give PicPac a try.
