Find 7

The Oppo Find 7 has just been announced in Beijing amidst much hype and speculation over the past several weeks. Thanks to recent teasers issued by the company, we knew a fair bit about the device, but the official announcement has shed light on many other features of the smartphone.

The smartphone will break cover in a standard 1080p variant and a model featuring a 5.5 inch 2K resolution display with a pixel density of 538 ppi. The two handsets also boast a superior 13 megapixel Sony IMX214 CMOS camera sensor with an F/2.0 lens which can combine 10 images to output a high resolution 50 megapixel shot. Oppo calls this the Super Zoom feature. The camera is also capable of 4K video recording and 720p slow-motion video at 120 frames per second. The 1080p model comes with a Snapdragon 800 chipset, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot.

The high end Find 7 is running on the latest Snapdragon 801 chipset with a clockspeed of 2.5 GHz. Other features include 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage (expandable), Android 4.4 KitKat with Oppo’s proprietary ColorOS 1.2 and a massive 4,500 mAh battery. Oppo claims the battery can charge up to 75% of its capacity from a completely dead state within 30 minutes thanks to what it’s calling the ‘Rapid Charge’ technology. The handset also comes equipped with high end MaxxAudio speakers for superior sound output.
