Verizon LTE

Verizon has officially announced that a few handsets on its LTE network will now be able to use the carrier’s Push to Talk Plus features, including the Samsung Galaxy S 5 and the Droid MAXX, among others.

The service offers a handful of very useful features for businesses and employers, including Late Join which allows employees to jump on a conference late without missing the entire conversation, and Talker Priority that allows the leader of a conversation to speak over anyone else on the call. It might not help those of you that only use Push to Talk for smaller conversations, but for businesses they’ll definitely be fantastic additions.

Businesses can get the Push to Talk Plus added to their accounts now, and any consumer that wants to have it added to their personal account can do so for free for six months. After the six month period, a normal access fee of $5 will be added to the bill each month.

Right now, the service doesn’t support too many devices, but Verizon claims to be working on adding several more, so if you’re not supported yet, just sit tight.
