Galaxy Tab 4.0 Nook edition

At the beginning of June, both Samsung and Barnes & Noble unveiled a brand new tablet, the Galaxy Tab 4 Nook that wasn’t really a brand new tablet at all. After all, the original Galaxy Tab 4 was announced way back in April. But, it’s new to Barnes & Noble at least, and it’s all about the Nook brand-name, anyway. That’s what a new teaser video is supposed to show, in all its blue and white glory.

The new teaser video was published by Barnes & Noble, via their official NOOK YouTube channel, and it showcases the tablet out there in the “real world,” with customers “using the device.” As they do, they’re more than happy to proclaim things like “I can’t even imagine what it’s like to read on this!” and other golden phrases. The video, ultimately, just shows us what the Galaxy Tab 4 Nook will look like in its blue and white shells, and leaves the rest to the imagination.

We still don’t know when the Galaxy Tab 4 Nook will launch, or how much it will cost, but those pieces of information should get cleared up on August 20, when the device will take center stage at an announcement event. As far as the original Galaxy Tab 4 goes, it’s a device that features a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1280×800; a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz; a 3-megapixel camera on the back, with a 1.3MP front-facing shooter on the other side. We’ll have to wait and see how much the Nook variant changes things up, if at all.
