The Android Developers Blog seems to have accidentally pushed out information regarding new features to be made available in Google Play Games, without Google wanting them to. The announcement was promptly pulled from the site, but not before it was noticed. The new features include ''game gifts'' whereby players can send each other ''virtual in-game objects'' to anyone in the circles or via player search. The Play Store will also feature 18 new game categories and offer turn-based, real-time multiplayer across platforms, so you can pit your wits against iOS users in all your favorite games:

The post goes on to detail some ad-related changes to the AdMob platform that are probably only of interest to game developers. The post was targeted at the audience attending the Game Developers Conference. The post also mentions some interesting tidbits like the fact that four times more money was paid to game developers in 2013 than in 2012. The new features are set to launch ''over the coming weeks.''
